I have created an Excel file for work to assist my manager in scheduling employees more effectively. Nearly a year ago, I utilized ChatGPT to help me with the formulas, and it has been successful ever since. Recently, my manager requested me to incorporate a meeting schedule into the main schedule. I thought of allocating the one-hour meeting time to the main schedule, highlighting it in red to ensure visibility. The red color serves as a reminder, particularly during weeks without meetings, that additional meeting hours have been included in everyone's schedule. She also needs to reset the meeting schedule to zero for everyone, so their hours don't get added to the main schedule.
I am seeking assistance because I believe I may not be conveying my request clearly to ChatGPT this time, given the new dilemma. The meetings occur one Wednesday each month. I am attempting to modify the formula in a cell, similar to cell H6, and add "1" to the corresponding cells in the R column. However, my challenge lies in ChatGPT's inability to comprehend whether someone's shift starts before or coincides with the meeting hours. In cases like cell H7, where the shift is from "8:00-4:30," the "1" in cell R6 should not be added to the formula in cell H6. Conversely, for the individual scheduled from "12:00-8:30" in cell H10, the value from the R column should be added since that person is working the additional 1 hour outside their regular schedule shift.
